Harshad Arora our ex Acting Student in the lead role as Zain in Beintahaa on Colors Channel

We believe in rigorous and meticulous training that would instill confidence among the students so that finding a suitable placement in the industry will not be a major issue for any graduate of our institute. However, our responsibility doesn't end after giving them the best possible training. It is equally important for us that our students should find best positions as per their aptitude.  Access to placement services such as career counseling, resume help, mock interviews, and recruiter access is provided to all the students once they are done with 80% of the course.

Since our inception, we have a record of supporting sincere students in finding an internship/ job. This assistance starts two months before the date of completion of the course. The placement activities are spread in Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Calcutta, Bombay, to pool in film makers and corporate companies for hiring our candidates.

There are two categories of students:

1) Those who are keen on working in reputed companies like event management companies/PR Firms/TV Stations/Film companies.

2) Others like cinematographers/directors/editors who would like to make an independent filmmaking career.

We support the first category of students in two ways:

A) Incoming inquiry mails forwarding: We receive e-mails from companies which are looking for fresh graduates. Such a job posting is displayed on the college website and is also forwarded to the yahoo group of the current batch. Since Jan 2010 batch it is mandatory for all the students of various courses to join the yahoo group.
B) Out going placement activity: An updated list of various relevant media companies’ concerned HR personnel is prepared. On weekly basis a pdf file of the placement brochure is e-mailed.

Besides the above, our placement officer also keeps a track of various openings on job providing sites and other job forums on the net. Such vacancies are posted in the yahoo group.

Our ex-students who are well placed in the industry are contacted to help current students in networking.

For students belonging to the second category:

Personal efforts are made by the teaching faculty/guest faculty to connect our current passing out students to seek an easy appointment in Bombay and other regional film industries in Calcutta/Madras/Hyderabad.
We completely understand that any student who is new to the media industry needs support in terms of contacts to start their career as an intern which leads to their recruitment. Students are provided networking opportunity with various guest faculty through workshops or visit to international film festivals in Delhi/Goa.

Through our placement cell, we make all possible efforts to find suitable positions for them. We are committed to building a fraternity in the media industry.
